Amapola Arts Studio hosts guest artists, visiting instructors, limited-run workshops, and community gatherings that bring new techniques, perspectives, and cultural traditions into our space.
These offerings may include:

Amapola Restore: Free Creative Wellness Series
Amapola Restore is a free wellness series created in partnership with Amapola Arts Studio, Buffalo Hope COMHPS, and PARC of WNY. Held every third Friday from 3–5 PM, each session offers a different creative experience centered on reflection, emotional wellness, and the restorative power of hands-on artmaking.
This first three events include:
May 15 – Grounding & Presence
A drawing and painting experience in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.
June 19 – Grief & Memory
A family-focused session using movement and song to honor healing, remembrance, and connection, featuring special guest Shirley Vazquez of Wounded Healers Academy of Holistic Healing Arts. This session will also include gentle somatic healing practices focused on grounding, release, and mind-body wellness.
July 17 – Identity & Belonging
A creative writing and mixed-media experience designed for students and young adults exploring voice, identity, and community.
